The journal publishes
peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary original research articles, as well as editorials, reviews, and news of the life sciences .

Submission and Publication Fees
Submission:
There are no fees for submitting initial queries. If, after reviewing the initial query, the editors request a full manuscript from the authors, there will be a
$50 manuscript processing fee
due at the time of submission. Manuscripts will not undergo peer review until the submission fee is paid.
Publication:
These publication charges are in effect for initial query submissions made on or after May 14, 2014.
Publication charges are $199 per printed page. Supplemental units (maximum of 4) uploaded to the journal website are $199 for each unit
. A supplemental unit is defined as one 8.5 x 11 inch page of text or figures with 1 inch margins using Times New Roman, Courier, Arial, Calibri, and/or Tahoma fonts at 9 points or larger. For multimedia files (i.e. audio or video), each file is considered one unit. All amounts are in U.S. dollars.
